A/N: My friend hadiya fed the monster. I said "drinking and dancing boys." She said, "write it." There you go.

Teyla narrowed her eyes as she watched Ronon walk away from her in the gateroom. Her mission to Belkan, though complicated by Dex's presence, was not a total failure. She plastered a smile on her face when she gave the sacs of grain to be stored. Always the helpful ally and leader. Still, Teyla couldn't help but think about what should have happended this trip.

Drinking. There should have been more driniking and more discussion. There should have been more push and pull between she and Hendan at the negotiating table, after which Mattas would have offered her fine accommodations for the evening; entertainments which she would have graciously accepted. More wine.

And dancing boys.

Nice, comely dancing boys who were skilled in bringing more than a little pleasure into a lonely leader's life. The next morning, well sated, she would have conceded a few more people for the Belkan harvest, Hendan would have given her more sacks of grain and they would have parted as friends. Nice and simple. The way it had always been.

Had it not been for her...teammate.

Thinking of Dex's behavior made Teyla seethe.

She looked up at Elizabeth's office and saw her thoroughly dressing down Dr. McKay. It looked like it had been a bad enough day for both of them.

Perhaps, on her next trip, she would suggest that Elizabeth accompany her. There were always more than enough dancing boys for two.
